Your false eyelashes are the final touch to any makeup look, adding that last glamourous touch.  Taking care of your lashes when putting them on and taking them off however helps with keeping them in great shape so you can use them again and again.  Taking care when taking your lashes off also helps prevent damage to you natural lashes.  So we put together 6 quick tips for taking care of your false eyelashes when removing them and keeping your natural lashes looking beautiful!

#1 Use high quality makeup products

Always us high quality make up and make up remover products.  You'll want to apply a high quality makeup remover to a cotton swab or cotton ball and gently apply to your eyelid along the lash band to help remove any mascara. This will also help break down the false eyelash adhesive, making it easier to take it off.

#2 Hey, hold up! Don’t rip your falsies off!

It may be tempting after a long day to just rip your lashes off.  You've had a fun day, you've danced all night and you're ready for bed. But don’t! Doing so increases the chance of ripping the lash strap or pulling the lashes off. Ripping them off could also result in tearing your natural lashes! SO DON'T RIP THEM OFF!  Slowly and gently pull your falsies off by the lash band….nice, and slow.

#3 Softly & Gently Remove Your Lash

Softly press the swab or cotton ball with makeup remover to the base of your lash line until the adhesive loosens. Make sure the cotton swab or ball is held down for a couple seconds on the lash band to loosen it from the eyelid and gently swipe across your eyelid.

#4 It’s all about the Band!

Pulling the lashes off by the lash hairs will quickly damage your false eyelashes. Of course you want to wear your BLACKGLAMA lashes again and again, looking fabulous each time! So by pulling them off by the lash band will keep your lashes safe and looking new each time you use them!

#5 Cleaning up and looking great!

A wonderful natural alternative to makeup remover for this step is coconut oil which is a great and gentle way to take care of the remaining adhesive and leave your skin feeling soft and subtle after a fun night out!
