WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN FALSE EYELASHES AND EYELASH EXTENSIONS

Often times false eyelashes and eyelash extensions can be confused but they are in fact very different! To help understand the difference keep reading.

False eyelashes are a strip of eyelashes that you can buy at a drug store, beauty supply store or online (Like Us!).  Traditional false eyelashes are made from strips of cotton or synthetics with false "eyelashes" glued to the strip. The lashes can be made of synthetics, beautiful mink or even human hair. The false eyelashes are applied to ones eyelid using eyelash glue or magnetic liner...you can check out how to do it correctly here!

Eyelash extensions are individual lashes adhered to your natural lashes using a special glue. The individual lashes can be made out of synthetic, mink or human hair material as well.  Each individual lash is placed on top of a real eyelash. Unlike false eyelashes, eyelash extensions need to be applied by a trained professional which can end up costing a lot of money and can take up to 60 minutes to apply. The benefit however is that they can last up to 4 weeks without needing to be filled, where eyelashes should be taken off at the end of your night.

Which is better?

The answer really depends on personal preference. Eyelash extensions are more likely to damage your natural lashes and are much more expensive to maintain, but they do last for much longer.  False eyelashes shouldn't be worn for more than 24 hours but are less expensive and you don't need a trained professional to apply them, you can do them yourself

Well...there you have it!  A little information on the differences between false eyelashes and eye lash extensions.  Hopefully you learned something new, AND, if you are interested in a pair of beautiful, elegant, false mink eyelashes you can get yourself a pair here
